With four stylish slim-line tower speakers, high-performance DVD player and powerful subwoofer, the DVX-S302S compact home theatre system is the perfect combination of looks and performance.

Powerful & Versatile

The DVX-S302S CinemaStation is a combined receiver and DVD with 5.1 speaker system. The five satellite speakers (2 front, centre and 2 surround) have a 2-way design for high sound quality. The front and surround speakers have a stylish, slim-line design to complement the latest plasma panels and LCD monitors. All speakers are magnetically shielded for placement near your TV or plasma.

The DVX-S302S receiver delivers 75 watts to the five channels and subwoofer, generating a total of 450W awesome power. Subwoofer performance is obviously extremely important for good home theatre sound. Using Yamaha's patented Advanced Active Servo Technology (Advanced YST), the subwoofer in the DVX-S302S is capable of generating powerful, accurate bass from a compact enclosure; maximising sound pressure levels while minimising distortion.

The DVD player supports Super Audio CD, DVD-Audio/Video, Super Video CD, Video CD, Picture CD, Audio CD, MP3, JPEG, DivX and WMA as well as discs with DVD+RW/+R, DVD-R/-RW (Video format) and CD-R/RW.

Sound and image

Progressive scanning provides maximum resolution for a smoother film-like image when viewed on a high definition TV or large screen, for both NTSC and PAL signals. A 108MHz/12-bit high-performance video DAC ensures excellent picture quality with all video sources. The picture can be adjusted using Brightness, Contrast, Tint and Colour controls to make sure the best image quality is achieved with each video source and type of room lighting.

The DVX-S302S utilises CD Upsampling to raise the sampling rate for richer, more accurate sound reproduction. Once CD Upsampling is selected, it is automatically engaged whenever a CD is played. In addition, a very high performance 192kHz/24-bit audio DAC contributes to the overall sound quality.

Other notable features of the DVX-S302S include Picture Setting, JPEG/MP3 Simultaneous Playback for Slide Show, Night Listening Mode, CD Text Display, 3-Step Dimmer, NTSC/PAL, Conversion, Screen Saver, Timer Functions, Zoom/Angle/Subtitle/Resume (5-Disc Memory) Play and Disc Lock Function. And a variety of clearly understandable GUI menus displayed directly on the TV or monitor screen makes it easy to select and adjust any desired function with the remote control
